We are excited to announce the very first release of the Citizenship.EU Platform, designed to help users explore their possible eligibility for citizenship by ancestry and dual nationality in 20 European Union countries.
Starting today, users can access our solution to find out if they may qualify through their family ties and ancestral lineage. This includes cases of Irish citizenship, Italian citizenship, and other European programs based on jus sanguinis, the “right of blood.”
Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain.
What’s Next
Our upcoming release will expand the platform to include France and Finland. Beyond that, we are also preparing to cover several non-EU European countries that offer citizenship by ancestry, including nations that have special pathways for descendants living in the United States.
It’s important to note that some EU countries are not included—Estonia, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Denmark—because, at this time, we do not consider them to have meaningful ancestry-based citizenship pathways.
Built on Proven Experience
This launch builds on nine years of innovation and expertise. Our first venture, LuxCitizenship.com, pioneered automated dual citizenship assessments for Luxembourg. Since 2016, it has delivered over 5,000 automated ancestry dual citizenship assessments with a 97% accuracy rate.
Now, with Citizenship.EU, we’re scaling that success to a pan-European level, helping people uncover their heritage and navigate the path to dual citizenship more easily than ever before.
As part of this mission, Citizenship.EU expands access to ancestry citizenship, supporting individuals who qualify for citizenship by descent or citizenship through ancestry across multiple European countries. By combining technology with legal expertise, the platform simplifies eligibility checks, document verification, and application preparation — empowering people to reconnect with their roots and claim their rightful place in Europe’s shared heritage.
A Bridge Between Continents
For many descendants abroad, especially in the United States, the journey toward Irish citizenship, Italian citizenship, or other European nationalities is more than a legal process—it’s a personal reconnection. Programs based on jus sanguinis and birthright citizenship offer a way to honor ancestry while gaining tangible benefits such as an Irish passport and full EU mobility rights.
Citizenship.EU was created to make that journey simpler, more transparent, and more accurate for those exploring their family roots across Europe.
